This certificate guarantees that viscose is an ecologically-friendly material created using wood pulp sourced from forests that have been certified as sustainable by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) or PEFC (Pan European Forest Certification), produced by an Austrian company called Lenzing.

Viscose is a textile made using plant-based materials such as wood pulp. The manufacturing process itself is artificial, so we refer to such fabrics as being 'synthetic fibres of natural origin'. Viscose is also called 'artificial silk' for its silky feel and shine, and its incredible softness.
