February, with temperatures sometimes approaching 0°C, there's only one thing to do: bundle up!
Cocooning mode on! We stay warm at home, laze in bed, sip a steaming cup of tea in front of our favorite TV series. All in all, it's the perfect time to take care of yourself...
And what better way to bring (re)comfort and warmth than with a pilou? Ladies, get ready for an avalanche of softness: at Le Chat Lingerie, we're officially declaring the pilou pyjama season open!
Only Le Chat Lingerie pilou is good enough... and that's saying something!
In life there are pilou pyjamas... and Lingerie Le Chat pilou pyjamas. But first, a quick (sewing) point.
If we stick to its purely technical definition, "pilou" (not to be confused with the Canaque dance of the same name!) is a warp-and-weft fabric "emerized", i.e. scraped to give it a "doudou" appearance. The term is used more broadly to designate a textile made from this fluffy cotton.
Very much in vogue these days, the term "pilou" has now entered common parlance to designate any garment or accessory with a fluffy appearance (sweater, jacket, coat, scarf, plaid, fur-lined boots, etc.) even when it's not real pilou!
At Lingerie Le Chat, you can be sure that women's pilou pilou pyjamas are made from real pilou.
A detail that makes all the difference, since 100% cotton makes the fabric softer and more comfortable than synthetics such as polyester.
Comment adopter la mode du pyjama pilou pilou avec style ?
Cocooning is an art! Warm, comfortable pyjamas are not incompatible with style - quite the contrary!
To help you spend a cozy winter without losing any of your elegance, Lingerie Le Chat has designed two lines of women's pilou nightgowns and pyjamas featuring the timeless and so chic check print:
- MAYFAIR, for a trip to Scotland... while staying warm. The traditional tartan print is a sure-fire way to liven up your wardrobe. In its pyjama or nightdress version, the plaid print is in pilou, while the back is in plain jersey.
- SCOTTISH, for all those who want to see life in pink in the middle of winter. All the Anglo-Saxon charm of this cocooning nightdress and set in soft, feminine shades and pilou check fabric.
Which will you choose this winter: SCOTTISH or MAYFAIR? If it's hard for you to choose, play it pilou face!
How to care for your pilou pyjamas
To enjoy your Lingerie Le Chat pilou pyjamas for as long as possible, we recommend a delicate wash cycle at 30°C, followed by a reduced spin cycle.
Above all, don't tumble dry - it will only damage the fabric!
Ironing is not necessary (pilou fabric creases very little), but if you feel the need, run your iron over the reverse side, heated very gently.
And to complete your list...
Can't get enough of cocooning?
To complete your wardrobe, take a look at our SHETLAND nightdresses and warm pyjamas: the softness and warmth of their "brushed" fabric will make you feel like you're in a cosy nest...
